Emcon Services Inc. is a proud Canadian based company with over 30 years of success as an interprovincial Road and Bridge Maintenance Contractor. We currently have an opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join our team in the 401/10 area, Peel-Halton Division.

Reporting to the Senior Foreman-Rail, the Rail Crew Worker is responsible for:
- Organizing and carrying out all assigned routine/non-routine guardrail emergencies within the AMC under the direction of the Senior Foreman-Rail and the Patrol Supervisor;
- Carrying out maintenance operations at any emergency site, this will include repairs to G.R.E.A.T. Systems, C.A.T.T. Systems, trend end treatment, Connecticut Impact attenuation systems, REACT 350, inertial barrier module Barrels, three beam bullnose systems, quad guard/quad trend systems, Tau-II, TRACC, etc…;
- During winter season you may be required to operate plows/spreaders on an as required basis;
- Ensuring that all day-to-day supporting documentation is kept up-to-date and accurate, this will include accident reports, work diaries, timesheets (personnel, equipment), etc…;
- Other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Minimum DZ license in good standing, AZ license considered an asset;
- Experience in Provincial and or Municipal highway maintenance field;
- Helpful, friendly and courteous with the public, regulatory agencies and peers;
- Punctual and willing to work shift work, be On-Call, and overtime when necessary;
- Physically able to meet all requirements and perform satisfactorily all highway maintenance and emergency assignments.
This position is a unionized role with IUOE Local 793.
