Screed Operator

EMCON SERVICES INC., a progressive Road & Bridge Maintenance Contractor in BC, Alberta and Ontario, is looking for a Screed Operator This is a seasonal union (AUPE) position.

Looking for a Screed Operator with at least 5 years of experience. You will be operating CAT model screeds alongside our Highway Construction crew on various projects throughout Alberta. You are a team player who ensures the well-being of others and lends a hand where needed.

The Screed Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the free-floating screed, attached to the paver vehicle. The Screed Operator controls the quantity and consistency of asphalt that is deposited; estimating overall quantity for the project, as well as the quantity needed to achieve the correct grade in the finished surface. The Ideal Candidate for this position will possess the following

Qualifications include:

• Minimum 3 years of experience working on a paving crew
• Valid AB Driver’s Licence Class 5
• Pre-employment drug screening
